Does ActWidget slow down my site or change my code?

No. ActWidget does not change your website’s code or design, and it does not hold up your pages.

Your code

ActWidget works in the visitor’s browser. It adjusts the page as that visitor sees it and leaves the files on your server alone. No permanent change is made to your site.

Visitors who do not open the panel see your site exactly as it is. Adjustments apply only to the person who chooses them.

Your loading time

ActWidget loads after your page has appeared. The browser shows your page and lets visitors use it without waiting for ActWidget.

This is also why the accessibility button appears a moment after everything else.

If ActWidget is removed

When a plan ends, ActWidget is removed from your site. Because it never changed your own code, your site is then exactly as it was before. See How do I cancel ActWidget?
