How do I add ActWidget to my website?

ActWidget is added with one short piece of code. We can install it for you, or send you the code to add yourself. Contact us to get started.

If we install it

Tell us which website it is for and how we can access it. We add the code and check the accessibility button appears.

If you install it

  1. We send you your ActWidget code.
  2. Paste it into your site so that it loads on every page. Most website builders have a place for this, often called “custom code”, “footer code” or “scripts”. A tag manager works too.
  3. Publish the change, then open your site in a new browser window.
  4. The accessibility button appears once the page has finished loading.

If you have a web developer, forward them the code. It takes a few minutes.

After it is installed

ActWidget starts scanning your pages straight away, and scans again every 24 hours to pick up new content. There is nothing else to set up.

If the button does not appear, see Why is ActWidget not showing on my site?

The steps differ from one website builder to the next. If you are not sure where the code goes on yours, contact us and tell us which one you use.
