  2. ActWidget

Why is ActWidget not showing on my site?

If the accessibility button is missing, it is usually one of four things. Work through them in order.

1. The page has not finished loading

ActWidget loads last, after everything else on the page. On a slow page the button can take several seconds to appear. Wait for the page to finish before deciding it is missing.

2. Your plan has ended

After a plan is cancelled, it runs to the end of the month or year already paid for, and ActWidget is then removed from your site. See How do I cancel ActWidget? To start again, contact us.

3. The code is no longer on the page

ActWidget is one small piece of code on your site. If that code is no longer on a page, for example after a change to your site, the button will not appear there. We install ActWidget for you, so contact us and we will check it is still in place.

4. You are seeing an old copy of the page

  • Your browser. Clear your browser’s cached images and files, then reload.
  • Your website. If your site or hosting uses caching to speed pages up, clear that cache too. A change such as adding ActWidget will not show until you do.

Still missing?

Contact us with your website address and the page where the button is missing, and we will take a look.
